I would be delighted to welcome you in the heart of Rome. In the midst of the lively old town of the Eternal city with its bars and cafés, just one minute walk from Piazza Navona, is waiting for you a bright and quiet room on the 2nd floor of a little Palazzo, that was built at the end of the 16th century by Domenico Fontana and ordered by Cardinal Felice Peretti, the later Pope Sixtus V. Still today you can recognize the little pears of his family coat of arms over the main entrance of the building. The room, with high walls and furnished with antique furniture and a large, comfortable double bed, has a private bathroom and direct access at the very entrance of the apartment. Guests have a complete privacy. The floor is the second ( in Italy we do not count the “mezzanino” floor, which is a half turn of the stairway, so in some other countries it might be the third floor) and for not having surprises: there is no elevator and no television. But therefore we have plenty of books in different languages – that you can pick up and take home with you! The breakfast (croissant and cappuccino) is served at table in the bar in a typical roman bar close to home (3 min. walk). Siamo lieti di darvi il benvenuto nel cuore di Roma. In mezzo al vivace centro storico della città Eterna con i suoi bar e caffè, a solo un minuto a piedi da Piazza Navona, vi aspetta una luminosa e tranquilla camera al 2° piano di un piccolo palazzo, costruito alla fine del XVI° secolo da Domenico Fontana ed ordinato dal cardinale Felice Peretti, l’ ultimo papa Sisto V. Ancora oggi è possibile riconoscere le piccole pere del suo stemma di famiglia sopra l’ ingresso principale dell’edificio. La camera, con pareti alte es arredata con mobili d’ epoca e un ampio e confortevole letto matrimoniale, dispone di bagno privato e accesso diretto all’ ingresso dell’ appartamento. Gli ospiti hanno una privacy completa. Il piano è il secondo e per non avere sorprese: non c’ è ascensore e non c’ è televisione. Ma abbiamo un sacco di libri in diverse lingue – che è possibile prendere e portare a casa con voi! La colazione (cornetto e cappuccino) viene servita in un tipico bar romano vicino a casa (3 min. a piedi).

Ich würde mich freuen, Sie im Herzen Roms begrüßen zu dürfen. Inmitten der lebhaften Altstadt der Ewigen Stadt mit ihren Bars und Cafés, nur eine Minute zu Fuß von der Piazza Navona entfernt, erwartet Sie ein heller und ruhiger Raum im 2. Stock eines kleinen Palazzo, der Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts von Domenico Fontana erbaut und von Kardinal Felice Peretti, dem späteren Papst Sixtus V., in Auftrag gegeben wurde. Noch heute kann man die kleinen Birnen seines Familienwappens über dem Haupteingang des Gebäudes erkennen. Das Zimmer, mit hohen Wänden und mit antiken Möbeln und einem großen, komfortablen Doppelbett ausgestattet, verfügt über ein privates Badezimmer und direkten Zugang direkt am Eingang der Wohnung. Die Gäste haben eine vollkommene Privatsphäre. Das Stockwerk ist das zweite (in Italien zählen nicht wir den “mezzanino” Stock, der eine halbe Umdrehung der Treppe ist, also in einigen anderen Ländern könnte es das dritte Stockwerk sein) und um keine Überraschungen zu erleben: es gibt keinen Aufzug und kein Fernsehen. Dafür haben wir aber jede Menge Bücher in verschiedenen Sprachen, die Sie mit nach Hause nehmen können! Das Frühstück (Croissant und Cappuccino) wird in einer typischen römischen Bar in der Nähe des Hauses serviert (3 Minuten zu Fuß).
